Abstrak

Islamic boarding schools are a place that is a means for everyone to deepen their knowledge of Islam, the learning used is still considered traditional where it is a characteristic that exists in Islamic boarding schools. Another characteristic is the custom or habit of seeking blessings, where this habit is carried out by getting closer and obeying the kyai of the boarding school or the caretaker of the boarding school, which still has an element of suggestion. This element of suggestion has the belief that if we can make it easier or do good to others then we can also get more goodness or is called Ziyadatul khair. The meaning of Blessing is the increase in goodness in life with the implementation of goodness in accordance with the sharia. Spiritual forms of how to get blessings include congregational prayer, prayer in the third part of the night, reciting the Koran, giving alms and always being devoted to Allah. Reconstruction of blessings in the form of behavior is by avoiding sin, being obedient and also having a harmonious household. What is important is that blessings are an abstract concept that can be felt by the person who receives them.
