Additionally, social media also has a significant impact on the way we view ourselves and others. The problem with a consumptive society is that Sufism is less interesting. This is because social media users need entertainment that is not monotonous with one goal, requiring a diversity of ways to reach God's love. This research method uses content analysis with data collection and coding methods for important content on Habib Husain bin Ja'far Al Hadar S.Fil.I., M.Ag YouTube channel. His YouTube channel is called "Jeda Nulis." This research uses analytical methods to explore data, display and validate data. The result of this research is that a Da’i Sufistic can combine Sufism and culture in an interesting way so that the mad’u watching can understand it. Apart from that, it combines an understanding of Sufism and tolerance, which can increase social harmony between religions. As well as preaching the importance of family in life. Lastly, it provides a construction that is easy and can attract someone to the goodness that we understand.
Muhammad Munir, Abdulloh Hanif, Md.Mosaddek Billah Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Mediakita : Jurnal Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam https://jurnalfuda.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/mediakita/article/view/1441 Wed, 31 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Instagrammable Culture: Implications of Social Media on the Younger Generation's Perception of Cultural Art https://jurnalfuda.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/mediakita/article/view/1422
This research investigates the impact of social media, specifically Instagram, on shaping the perceptions of the younger generation towards cultural art. The issue of atheism is addressed in the film "Tarung Sarung." The purpose of this research is to understand the reasons behind Deni Ruso, an atheist, becoming a devout follower of Islam, as well as the process of Deni Ruso's spiritual transformation. This research adopts a qualitative research approach and utilizes semiotic analysis as the method. The results of this study indicate that the underlying causes for the main character's transformation from being an atheist to a devout follower of Islam are as follows: firstly, friendship. Through friendship, emotional support and inspiration can be provided. When someone has friends who are involved in spiritual practices, it can serve as a motivator for embarking on a spiritual journey independently. Secondly, the environment that facilitates access to places of worship and meditation practices can influence individuals to actively engage in spiritual exercises. Thirdly, the experience of deep love can open one's heart and mind to a deeper spiritual dimension. Furthermore, the process of spiritual transformation experienced by the main character involves self-awareness that God plays a significant role in life, as well as believing in religion as a guide for behavior and regulating all aspects to attain tranquility in both worldly life and the hereafter.

Siti Aisyah, Wahyu Agung Prasongko, Muhamad Arif Roziqin Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Mediakita : Jurnal Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam https://jurnalfuda.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/mediakita/article/view/1862 Wed, 31 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Maintaining Online Media Amidst the Aggressive Determinism of Social Media https://jurnalfuda.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/mediakita/article/view/1532
Online media is the new face of the existence of mass media, which enjoyed its heyday as a medium of information for society. However, this heyday did not last long, because social media is not only a threat but has also shifted the position of mass media as an information medium. This research aims to determine the extent of efforts made by online media to maintain its existence amidst the aggressive determinism of social media. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach with the method used being a case study. The research was conducted on the online media Jatimtimes.com and Tugumalang.id. The research results show that Jatimtimes.com specifically targets young people as an audience segmentation because young people are very familiar with and cannot even be separated from the existence of technology and social media. This encourages Jatimtimes.com to present news that suits the needs of young people as their main audience. Meanwhile, Tugumalang.id places more emphasis on writing news straightforwardly and clearly as it should be presented in writing journalistic works. Writing news in straightforward and clear language will be easier for readers to understand.
Latif Fianto, M.
