Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial  Is a journal with a collection of articles of social studies, with a religious focus and people's lives Published by The Sociology Of Religion Departement , Faculty Of Ushuluddin and Da'wah,  Institut Agama Islam Negeri  (IAIN) Kediri. The focuses in this journal are religious issues and those that occur in society. Those issues may be associated with aspects of culture, economics and politics that develop. The Journal of Asketik is expected to be a quality scientific journal in supporting the development of the academic climate and research, in the field of religion and change at the national and international level.

Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial was first published in 2017; this journal obtained  (P-ISSN: 2579-7050), on Saturday, 29 April 2017  with Decree Number 0005.25797050/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2017.04  . Indonesian Institute of Sciences Center for Scientific Data and Documentation (ISSN INDONESIA NATIONAL CENTER). Furthermore, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, this journal received  E-ISSN: 2615-4668 (online)  with Decree Number  0005.26154668/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2018.03.

As a journal published by The Sociology Of Religion Departement , Faculty Of Ushuluddin and Da'wah,  Institut Agama Islam Negeri  (IAIN) Kediri, this journal publishes articles with aims and broad scope in some main areas, namely - Contemporary Social Issues, Religion and Social Culture,Religious Social Change and Sociology of Religion. On June 1, 2018, Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial registered his article with  Crossref and obtained a DOI with Prefix Number:  10.30762. Every article published by IAIN Kediri will get a DOI.

Furthermore, the issue of Vol.1 No.1 of 2018 in the Indonesian version for the manuscript's content and English for the title and abstract. Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial is committed to publishing articles using the category mechanisms present in the Open Journal System feature. The categories of published articles cover three main areas according to the aims and scope of the journal.

Since Vol.2 No.2 of 2019 and beyond, Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial is committed to publishing articles in two languages, namely 30% in English and 70% in Indonesian. Thus tiered in the following issues, until it reaches 100% in English. To improve the quality of language from articles published, this journal then collaborated with American Journal Experts. Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial is published twice a year (June-December). Several changes and development have occurred and led to the existing journal type and format to serve the readers. In 2017 Jurnal Asketik: Jurnal Agama dan Perubahan Sosial was published in two versions printed and online by an open journal system (https://jurnal.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/asketik/index) and in 2022 changed to (http://jurnalfuda.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/asketik). All the business processes are used online. Some improvements were also made to increase the journal quality, such as the manuscript template and volume and number arrangement.
